Ohmx has developed a platform technology based on a unique electrochemical detection methodology.
Proprietary chemical reporters are designed to provide very sensitive and specific responses when integrated with standard immunoassay techniques. The enabling technology centers around these chemical reporters.
Target molecules, whether proteins, small molecules, or nucleic acids, can be detected and measured with accuracy and speed on the Ohmx platform.
Standard immunoassay techniques are used to capture and isolate protein or small molecule targets within a low-volume sample (e.g. 50uL of serum).
The isolated target triggers a cascade system that generates a mediator compound, which is further amplified, thereby significantly enhancing the level of detection. The final signal is proportional to the concentration of the initial target in the sample.
Ohmx has developed a platform technology based on a unique electrochemical detection methodology. As shown in the graphic, the mediator compound mixes with Ohmx’s proprietary electrochemical reporter molecules. The amount of mediator compound present alters the chemical reporter molecules in a distinct, measurable way.
The chemical reporter molecules then modify a gold electrode. The readout from the electrode varies proportionally to the amount of target in the original sample.
