Board of Directors

Thomas J. Meade, Ph.D.

Founder

Dr. Meade is the Eileen M. Foell Professor of Chemistry, and Professor of Chemistry, Molecular Biosciences, Neurobiology, Biomedical Engineering and Radiology, and Director of the Center for Advanced Molecular Imaging at Northwestern University.

In addition to Ohmx, he has founded three successful start-up companies based on his research at the California Institute of Technology and Northwestern University:

  • Clinical Micro Sensors (CMS), sold to Motorola in 2000 for $300 million, is now the publicly-traded Genmark Diagnostics (GNMD), which is developing electrochemical sensors for the detection of nucleic acids;
  • Metaprobe, which has focused on in vivo biochemically-activated magnetic resonance contrast agents; and
  • PreDx, a company also focused on imaging technologies.

Dr. Meade currently holds 81 U. S. issued patents, 22 U. S. patents pending, and more than 200 foreign filings.

Barbara B. Dyson

Chairman of the Board of Directors

Ms. Dyson is a Founder and Principal of Dyson, Dyson & Dunn, Inc., a holding company focused on middle market industrial manufacturing, distribution, and service companies. Ms. Dyson’s firm owns and operates eight companies with sales of over $200 million.

Ms. Dyson received her B.S. in Economics from Rollins College and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. She is currently on the Executive Advisory Board for the Chemistry of Life Processes Institute at Northwestern University.

Stuart Cornew

Director

Mr. Cornew is the founder and managing director of AnswerMine/Pattern Associates, focused on developing IT protocols to apply proprietary software to large datasets. With more than 30 years of experience, he has served a wide variety of industries, including medical, financial services, automotive, retail, and higher education, among others.

Mr. Cornew is Chairman [Emeritus] of the Chemistry of Life Processes Institute at Northwestern University and serves on the Board of Directors of two companies. He received a B.S. in Engineering from Swarthmore College and an M.B.A. from Dartmouth College.

Mark Matthews

Director

Mr Matthews is the Managing Member and Founder of Argent Real Estate Development Corporation. To date Argent is responsible for over $200 million in real estate projects. The company currently has projects under development in Florida, South Carolina, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

Mr. Matthews was previously with Transleasing International and served on its Board of Directors.

Scott Hall

Director

Mr. Hall is Owner and President of Triangle Decorating Company. Triangle is a premier painting, decorating and wood refinishing contractor headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois. The company works on projects in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Florida and South Carolina.

Scott serves on the Finishing Contractors Association of Chicago Board of Directors and is a Trustee for the Chicago Painters and Decorators Pension Fund.
